One More Drug

I pray to god,
And open the files and docs.
You have the key and your mind isn’t a prison or locked.

You’re just another workaholic,
Build an empire and sedate your worries
with expensive temptation and a wishlist of stories.

As she walks into the room
You prepare your power point presentation,
What makes you the best, although the last thing she wants is your elaboration.

Kiss me pet me tell me I’m smart,
Throw your remarks in my general direction.
My insecurities will be filled by apish moves you learned thanks to masturbation.

I sink into a bubble of a glass or two,
My breakable China lays under my rib tattoo.

You ask me if another,
I say yes please.

Time is a construct but there’s a clicking I hear.

You brush my hair, like a parents does their child.
You make nice promises that keep me there for a while.
I stayed til about 2:30 and left unimpressed.
I prefer to end the night with cultural digest.

They say shivery is dead,
But wifi keeps interest awakened.
But for now I’ll open my subscription
And shop for the latest fixation.
