I Like To Travel

It’s a sunny day in Byron

Yo bunk beds over mine

In a town of golden sunshine

There’s no need to track the time

Your hat wears a silly pun now

Accents from foreign lands

Rainfall greets us saying hello

Dripping on boards in sand

I don’t know yet where we’re going

I’ve yet to know where we’ve been

But if we mark this destination

And take this world for a spin

Saying hello to new friends

With funny begins

Missed a tour to make some waffles

Using tequila and gin

Let’s voyage to a city

Where they can’t pronounce our name

In local vineyards drinking fresh grown coffee

We’ll joke about never leaving again

Somewhere between dreams and reality

That’s where travelers come from

If  your brave enough to say goodbye

You will be rewarded by a hello’s hum

It’s enough for this wide eyed wanderer to say we got this far,

In a world much smaller than it seems

Vagabonds look to the stars.
